Feedback & listening skills that will transform how you lead: June 25-26, 2026

Two people at work talking.

When did you last have a feedback conversation you’d been putting off — and actually feel good about how it went? When did you last have a discussion with a colleague on a controversial issue and know that they felt truly heard and understood by you — even though you both disagreed?

Join us this Thursday and Friday for SFU’s online course Feedback and Listening for Effective Leadership.

Most of the sandpaper moments between people or across entire teams are not about personality traits so much as a lack of skill and confidence at listening and feedback, especially across difference. And in my experience, most of us vastly overestimate our skill at both.

The good news is, these skills grow with practice. Strengthening them will transform how you lead, especially under the kind of stress and high load most workplaces are carrying right now.

This short, practical course runs Thursday June 25 and Friday June 26, 9:00–12:00 Pacific, and costs CAD$395 plus GST. It’s hands-on throughout. You’ll leave with tools and simple but robust frameworks for listening across difference, giving and receiving feedback even when it’s hard, a clear read on your own listening patterns, and one concrete behaviour shift with a plan to make it stick.
